Ragnarok Odyssey To Be Localized With Possible Release Date Leaked

Ragnarok Odyssey developed by GungHo Works, was one of the best selling Playstation Vita games in Japan and probably the on that was imported the most as well. XSeed has confirmed that they will be localizing the game to North America sometime this summer. Ragnarok Odyssey is a spin-off of Ragnarok Online. Concentration on aerial combat, pinpointing specific locations for higher damage and speed are some of the main points of the gameplay. Up to four players can join locally or online to cooperatively take on the chaper based challenges or fight each other in a versus mode. Recently Amazon and Gamestop has put the date of 8/21/12 on their websites and pre-orders have started. While not solid evidence, it seems very likely.

Hungry Giraffe is a very fun game I liked , and it seems that a LOT of people agree! As of now, Hungry Giraffe has been downloaded over 100,000 times! That’s right, a minis with over 100,000 downloads! See what happens when an original game is given the love it needs during development? Laughing Jackal released the following statement: Hungry Giraffe was a big success both critically and commercially as a PSN Mini. Not only has it been downloaded over 100,000 times worldwide but it became the first ever Mini to be given 10/10 by Official PlayStation Magazine UK as they called it: “…as cute as a puppy with an inside-out ear and so addictive that it’s likely to make you miss your stop on the bus and not really care. Congrats to Laughing Jackal on this great achievement, and keep up the great work!

Disney / Pixar’s Brave is coming this summer, and there will be a third person video game to coincide. The movie looks great, and so does the game! A third person action-adventure, “Brave: The Video Game” expands the tale beyond the movie’s storyline. Gamers can play as Merida, an expert archer and heroine, and in the console versions, players can also play as other entertaining characters from the film. In addition, they will be able to go on quests through a magical world and solve puzzles to uncover secrets. Source: Press Release

Q&A with Gaijinworks/Monkey Paw Games

I had a chance to do a small Q&A with the folks over at Gaijinworks/Monkey Paw Games in regards to the Kickstarter for a Collector’s Edition for Class of Heroes 2 , as well as other various topics. I took some questions from the backers over at the Kickstarter page, so click the link to read the answers: 1.- After working on the Sega CD, you’ve been working on releases for Sony consoles and Portables. Any change in that strategy thanks to the sales of the 3DS, and the Wii U being just around the corner? We certainly will consider those platforms, and can’t wait to see some of the new titles and hardware that’s bound to be the talk of the show yet again. 2.- vinsfeld123 ponders: What do you plan to do next?. Will you make changes to the overall plan what changes, and gives this a second go? We’re working on getting BurgerTime World Tour for PC out [ check our review of the PSN release right here ], the Class of Heroes 2 digital version, and we’ll be making a cool game announcement prior to E3 2012. As for another potential Kickstarter, we’re still weighing all of our options at this point. However, plenty of our fans have supported us to try again. 3.- Brash Smith asks: Is a localization and release ofMother 3 a possibility or has Nintendo already shot down that one? Lots of fans ask us for status on lots of games. We can certainly say that anything is possible, and we have a long list of these same types of games we’d like to see. As for Mother 3, you’ll have to ask Nintendo on that one. I would like to thank Gaijinworks/Monkey Paw Games for their time. I’ll have another Q&A in a few weeks, and a review for Vanguard Bandits which will go live next week, so be sure to stick around at PS3blog.net!

Dishonored set for October 9, 2012 Release

Bethesda today announced that Dishonored, the supernatural assassin action game under development at Arkane Studios, will be available in North America on October 9, 2012 and throughout Europe on October 12, 2012. “We are pleased that Dishonored has captured people’s attention,” said Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks. “We are looking forward to sharing lots more information about the game leading up to its launch in October, and having a hands-on build of Dishonored in our booth at E3!” Dishonored is set in Dunwall, an industrial whaling city where steampunk- inspired technology and otherworldly forces coexist in the shadows. You are Corvo, the once-trusted bodyguard of the beloved Empress who has been murdered. Framed for the crime, you become an infamous assassin, known by the disturbing mask that has become your calling card. Assassin’s Creed 3 Gameplay Trailer

The newest trailer for Assassin’s Creed III gives a deeper look at the franchise’s new hero. Trapped between two worlds, Connor dons the mantle of the Assassin in the fight for justice against the Templars. Sentinel, outsider, and champion, Connor defends the land against those who would infringe upon freedom and liberty. Set against the backdrop of the American Revolution in the late 18th century, Assassin’s Creed III introduces a new hero, Ratonhnhaké:ton, of Native American and English heritage. Adopting the name Connor, he becomes the new voice for justice in the ancient war between the Assassins and Templars. Gamers become an Assassin in the war for liberty against ruthless tyranny in the most stylized and fluid combat experiences in the franchise to date. Assassin’s Creed III spans the Revolutionary War, taking gamers from the vibrant, untamed frontier to bustling colonial towns and the intense, chaotic battlefields where George Washington’s Continental Army clashed with the imposing British Army. Assassin’s Creed 3 will be released October
