Mikhail Torrance in Critical Condition
A sad story is developing in Bradenton, Florida where Mikhail Torrance is in critical condition. Torrance just finished a fabulous senior season at Alabama and had recently signed a contract to play pro basketball in Israel. Many NBA draft experts thought Torrance would be selected in the 2010 NBA Draft, however he went undrafted. Torrance and people around him blamed a red flag in his medical files — an enlarged heart. Although the NBA cleared him to play basketball, no NBA team decided to take the risk. And now, the risk has apparently been shown to be real. It hasn’t been confirmed that Torrance’s heart is to be blamed but all the signs point to that being the case. About five minutes into a light basketball workout, Torrance collapsed to the ground.
