Last week’s FPS seemed to be a bit harder for most than I thought it’d be. I was actually hoping that the “1 word” hint would have given it away, or at least made it heaps easier, but alas, 20 people got the points for it. Unfortunately, we’re back to the regular 150 points for the first 10 people to answer correctly. But for those who took advantage of FPS over the month of December, how well did you fair? Be sure to check the stats after the jump. As for this week’s question: This series was negatively parodied by a highly popular franchise throughout a number of its titles because of some shared traits, despite the fact that the two were completely different types of games. Regardless of the negativity surrounding a few of its entries, this series still has quite a strong following. What series is this? Question BONUS QUESTION: Send me a private message with the name of the series that parodied this one. You’ll get a bonus 50 points ! December Points Pretty interesting, as we’ve had a total of 9 people who didn’t miss a single FPS! Congratulations to those folks, as in December alone, they received 1650 free points! Jay, your friendly neighborhood Community Manager, here. As you may have noticed, I have been inactive for a few weeks due to a bad case of sciatica and not having the money for insurance, or a way of getting it taken care of (just self-administered physical therapy). Although it is still going to affect me for little while longer, it is easing up a bit finally. With that said, I would like to thank Tosh for doing these in my absence and congratulate the winners. As for this week’s trivia: This game was originally meant to be a PS2 sequel to the Resident Evil franchise, but during the prototype phase, it was deemed too much of a departure from the RE formula (and the survival horror genre in general) but was renamed and kept in production anyway. What was the name of this game? 150 points for the first 10 people/correct answers! Answer in the box after the jump. 3 words. Sorry, a little too late! Try your chance at Free Points Saturday next week! The answer this week was devil may cry. The following 10 members got points for anwering correctly. This was our first big giveaway running the updated lottery system and it worked great! Even added some features to it along the way. In total we had 193 entries totaling 12,315 points! Then we had 5 video entries and those are worth 4 entries each so that bring the total to 213! Always fun to see video entries. If you didn’t get a video entry in you really should. You just need to donate at least once to the lottery then you qualify. It’s worth 4 entries, no points required at that point. This time I cut up numbers and placed them in a bowl for my wife to pick one at random. Video proof of this after the jump. The winner is nitestar ! Congratulations! Thank you to all that entered. We have another big giveaway coming up soon so keep earning those points!
