Twisted Metal multiplayer gameplay

So, what can gamers expect from the new Twisted Metal? The same crazy mayhem, only in HD? Well, here’s a multiplayer video to give you an idea. It’s shot off-cam, but the quality’s decent enough. Enjoy. Twisted Metal will hit PS3s next year( :’( I want it NOW! ). The multiplayer component promises 16 players online and 2-4 player split screen. Thoughts on twisted metal? Buying it? I know I am, I have always been a twisted metal fan.

E3 2010: Sorcery – Harry Potter on Steroids?

I’m impressive how can nobody posted even a quick note about Sorcery, the upcoming title SCE will bring us. It was first announced at E3 2010, and it uses the new Playstation Move controllers. And it is a blast! You will take the role as an magic apprentice, and must protect people from the evil Nightmare Queen, which broke a pact with men. Inspired in the traditional Irish/Celtic mythology, it will let you use twelve different arcane magics, ranging from manipulating elemental powers, like fire, wind, ice, etc. Heck, you can brew elixirs using the Move controller to “mix” the potions. It’s just not hack’n’slash, though. You’ll need to solve puzzles and numerous quests for townsfolk, like rescuing kidnapped children and finding ancient magic in city ruins. The comparison to the Harry Potter games is inevitable, but Sorcery’s atmosphere looks darker and it seemed more polished to me. Its mechanics will be used in all sort of wizardry/sorcery/alchemist games, including  the upcoming Harry Potter’s title itself. Sorcery will be available in the Q2 2011 (why will it take so long?!? ). E3 presentation after the break…

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 heads To Vietnam

If you thought the current game modes and maps weren’t enough to keep you busy on a dark and wet evening, DICE have announced that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will see a new addition in Winter this year. You will be taken to the darkest depths of the Vietnamese jungle where you will either spawn as a U.S. Marine or a member of the NVA (North Vietnamese Army). This new addition will not only contain 4 brand new maps, but they will also include the popular Conquest, Rush game modes and Vietnam specific weapons, persistence, unlocks, vehicles, along with new awards, trophies and achievements. A firm release date is yet to be confirmed, although I can see it being released around early December to keep you all, and me in particular, busy throughout the Christmas holidays. This not only strengthens the franchise but it also goes to show that DICE mean business when it comes to taking their developments to another level.

Yakuza 4 in the West in Spring 2011

It took a long time for SEGA to localize Yakuza 3, and they did cut a lot of stuff from the original version. It did succeed, though, and it performed well. Now SEGA is planning Yakuza 4 to be released in US and Europe somewhere in the Spring of 2011. Hope they won’t cut anything this time…
