The Playstation Vita has not lost stride since it’s hands-on reveal at E3 with new articles creeping up virtually by the minute. I am jumping on that bandwagon to bring you guys some of the more recent news and videos so that we can all get our fill (lets face it, we will never get full) of Playstation Vita information. Here is probably the best video I’ve seen that displays the Vita with all of its touch abilities as well as a great selection of games. As we keep hearing, many games will be cross platform with the PS3. This will allow for some type of connectivity from map sharing to online competitive multiplayer action to cloud based game saves to continue your games on the go. Here is the list of games that currently are confirmed to have some type of PS3 online connectivity or game save sharing: Dragon’s Crown Dungeon Defenders Hustle Kings Little Big Planet Modnation Racers Resistance Ruin Streetfighter X Tekken Wipeout 2048 Now as far as the release date, that is still widely unknown. Sony has made a comment that at the very least, Europe is looking at a Jan/Feb 2012 release. Some information behind the scenes say that North America is still being targeted to launch before Christmas. Japan will launch this winter for sure. Little Big Planet Here is a recent video of Little Big Planet on the PS Vita. This is the exact level that I played at the Sony conference as well as the one they allowed others to play at E3. You will see that the multiple puzzles require many types of command inputs from touch screen to touch pad to tilting, etc. Dynasty Warriors Here is the first game play video that I’ve personally seen of Dynasty Warriors. More beat’em up, button smashing game play. Virtua Tennis 4 Virtua Tennis 4 plays exceptionally with the touch screen. You can adjust top spin, bottom spin, etc with just a swipe of the finger on the serve.

Bethesda Softworks just released a behind the scene video of Hunted: Demon’s Forge, entitled, “Descent Into Mystery”. In the video, “Lucy Lawless and the team at inXile Entertainment delve into Hunted’s storyline and its characters.” This game is really looking good. The co-op feature sounds really interesting, and I can’t wait to try it out. Hunted is slated for release in North America on May 31, 2011 and Europe on June 3, 2011.

Interested in finding out what it’s like to be a cop rising through the ranks? Well then check out the new trailer for L.A. Noire. This trailer sums everything up pretty well. Illegal gambling, corruption within the force, and an investigation into the shipment of government-issued morphine killing junkies. That investigate will definitely piss off the local mobsters, so be on your guard. All of the footage in this trailer was taken within the game so this is as real as it’s going to get until the games release on May 17 in the US, and May 20 in Europe and Australia.

Move Along, Nothing to See Here! Meet L.A. Noire Trailer #3
Nothing and I mean nothing, gets me more excited then a game with a lot of loot! Diablo 2 kept me busy for 10 years and it was all thanks to the loot. Dungeon Siege 3 is bringing the love of the hunt back with a random item generating system. Think Borderlands and random rolled values per item. This will make for one heck of a treasure hunt to find the all powerful weapon of mass destruction. Take a look at the latest trailer. The PlayStation 2 was a great system that gave us many titles like Baldur Gate Dark Alliance and Champions return to arms. Expect the same game-play with this bad boy. With titles like Two World Two and Dungeon Hunters, it appears the beloved hack and slash genre is making a come back and I’m fine with that. Especially when you have Couch co-op and 4 player drop in MP over PSN. Factor in the story elements that branch depending if you have another human controlled player in your party and you get what is shaping up to be a promising title. Enjoy the screens. Some pretty exciting rumors are hitting the net at this time and after reading the list, I’m excited. Please consider these as rumors but they are said to have come from a Sony employee. Only time will tell but they all seem very possible. – Sony will confirm the official name, pricing and release date of the NGP – There will be 7 first party titles revealed for the NGP – Hideo Kojima’s NGP project likely to be Peace Walker – The Wipeout engine has been perfectly ported over to the NGP and you can expect the release of the game in the first quarter of the NGP’s launch – Chance of another Metal Gear game on its way in the future – There are 37 titles in the working for Sony platforms, but most will not be revealed until a European event (likely Gamescom) – Sony will reveal titles that will not be available until Christmas 2012 at E3 – Santa Monica Studios will be on board, but don’t expect much more information about the title (potentially next God of War title) – A sequel to Warhawk will be revealed before E3 – 2 PS3 exclusives won’t be presented at E3 but will be available before the end of the year in Europe – Twisted Metal, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3 and The Last Guardian will be playable at E3 – Polyphony Digital are returning with a new title before March 2012 – Polyphony would like to make Europe a privilege for its next title. “Please don’t underestimate their work even if they deceived some of you.” – A Rockstar game, probably GTA V, could be released before Agent was planned to be – A third party title is in a “big battle” with Sony. The developers seem to be Bungie, so the game would be their next project with Activision. Lastly, the employee says this: We’ve been shown Uncharted 3 demo quickly in a little clip internally. And it was super cool. The playable scene was as surprising as the Uncharted 2 sequence presented few years ago at E3. it’s really stylish. Some people will say it’s like Uncharted 2.5 but I loved it. via hookedgamers

E3 Details Leaked by French Sony Employee *Rumor*
Many people claimed it was coming, many argued in contradiction, but the time has finally come, according to GamaSutra . PS3 has finally outsold the 360 worldwide in LTD sales, despite the 360′s 10 million unit lead. Now, this should not be used or touted as a bragging aspect, as PS3 still falls short on software sales vs the Xbox 360, and there is plenty of room in the world for both systems. However it still is an amazing feat, so lets hope for many more years to come. “Although the Xbox 360 leads the PlayStation 3 in the U.S., the global picture shows Microsoft’s console has lost ground to Sony’s as of the end of 2010, says a new report from data firm Strategy Analytics. – According to the company’s data, the Nintendo Wii continues to enjoy the world’s largest install base with 75.5 million active units worldwide, but the active install base of PS3s reached 43.4 million at the close of 2010 versus Xbox 360′s 42.9. – Strategy Analytics says that Xbox 360′s relative weakness in Europe and Asia “acts as a drag on its global performance,” even factoring in the boost the console saw from the launch of the Kinect motion-sensing peripheral. – Just today, GameSited data from IDG that showed that while the Xbox 360 still led the PS3 in the U.S. by 10 million units, Sony’s console retailed a slightly bigger share of the European audience, with 14.7 million units to the Xbox 360′s 13.7 million units. – “While the Kinect peripheral has given a boost to Microsoft’s Xbox 360 strategy, the console’s performance outside of the U.S. continues to disappoint,” says Strategy Analytics’ Digital Consumer Practice analyst Jia Wu, who authored the report. – “Global demand foy’s PS3 has exceeded that of the Xbox 360 in each of the past two years, and we expect that to continue over the coming years,” Wu adds, recommending Microsoft “continue[s] to innovate around its motion sensor technology, which will become increasingly relevant in the smart home era.” – The report predicts that Xbox 360 will grow its global sales by 13.7 million by the end of this year, while PS3 will also expand to 15.7 million units. The Wii, conversely, is expected to continue declining (a contraction on which Gamasutra analyst Matt Matthews says the Xbox 360 can capitalize). – Strategy Analytics says Wii’s sales will fall by just over 10 million units over the year, leaving it in third place in hardware rankings — and making it an opportune time for Nintendo to “launch a Wii successor within the next 12 months.”

Here is a new trailer for Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll, a Japanese RPG, that is finally making its way to the US on Feb 8, and to Europe on the 11th. “Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll is an action role playing game with an endearing cast of characters and a unique art style that is best compared to a living oil painting. Using a canvas-style filter, the design of this game brings the lush world to life and helps your heroes shine in the foreground as you experience an epic tale, numerous side quests and more adventure than you can handle!” Update: The demo for this game has just been released on the PSN!!

Rage was originally announced in 2007, but will finally be launched on Sept. 13th in North America, and Sept. 16th in Europe of this year. This game that has aspects of both Fallout and Borderlands, looks very good. Rage is a first person shooter, with RPG elements, as well as dune buggy driving / combat. The game is set in an asteroid/earth collision, caused post-apocalyptic wasteland. The asteroid, Apophis, a real life astroid, which will pass near Earth in 2036, collides with earth in 2037, and destroys 30% of all life almost instantly. As seen in the other, similar set games, bandits and mutants will be the main enemies of the game. The player has been “saved” by being cryogenically sealed in an underground “Ark”, and awakens with no memory of who or where he is. (Starting to sound even more familiar?) The official web site for Rage , which was just given a major face-lift today, describes it this way: August 23, 2037: Apophis 99942 strikes the eastern hemisphere. Carrying the force of 2.4 million megatons, 30% of life on Earth becomes extinct in 26 seconds. Within one year 80% of all life is gone. To make matters worse, Apophis contained large amounts of heavy elements. Darkness blankets the planet. The Earth falls into an impact winter lasting almost 50 years and life on the surface is driven to the brink. Prior to impact, in an effort to save human civilization, Arks are constructed and buried deep underground. These cryogenic lifeboats carry humanity’s future, preserved with the tools they need to rebuild. They are the seeds of Earth’s rebirth. But when survivors begin to emerge from the Arks, they find the unexpected. Many humans who were above ground during the impact unexpectedly survived, while horrific mutants roam the dead cities. And a mysterious tyrannical government, bent on creating a new world order, has begun the search . . . for you. This is definately a game I am going to keep my eyes on. I will keep you posted of any new information, so make sure you check back often!
