Time for our first Uncharted 3 game night! Don’t have access? Head over to Subway to get the early multiplayer access code. I’ve been playing it off and on and it’s a blast! It’s a big improvement over Uncharted 2 I think. For everyone that shows up to the game night I will be picking a winner at random to giveaway a Uncharted 3 mystery skinned Weapon #3 code that I got from E3 2011! I’ll be hanging around in the PS3Blog.net Home Clubhouse about 10 minutes before we begin if you want to hang out there for a bit. We have arcades machines, pool table and a golden throne for you to try out. You will get 100 points for coming to a game night. When you show up for the game night I will message you on the PSN with a secret word which you can use below to get your points. Enter the secret word sent to you on the PSN by the game host to get your 100 points! We will begin around 5 pm PST, 6 pm MST ( UTC -7 ), 8 pm EST; I can play for at least 2 1/2 – 3 hours. If you’d like to join us, leave your PSN ID below. My PSN ID is xBerserker, but mention “PS3Blog.net Game Night” in your PSN friend request message or I will NOT add you. If you would like to set up another time for a game night, you can arrange it in the PS3Blog.net Game Night Group. Or even do a post like this yourself.

In a effort to get more people to show up for game nights. Each time I’m going to post a new poll to gauge interest on what games you want to play that night. I’ll play the top 2 games for that night if I have the game. I’ll remove the poll after the game night is over and post the results. PS3Blog.net Game Day | Sept. 26 Uncharted 2 (no doy!) Tekken 6 Killzone 3 Metal Gear Online Black Ops Driver: San Francisco Dead Island Add an Answer View Results I’m open to playing Killzone 3, Metal Gear Online, Tekken 6, Wipeout HD. But if you’d rather play something else, add it to the poll and comment below so you can meet up with other people that want to play the same game. It’s been over a decade since Tecmo’s fast paced fighter graced a Sony home console. Dead or Alive is my second most favorite fighting game right after Tekken and as a fan of the genre DOA 4 was the only game that made me grab a 360 controller so I was pretty excited when Tecmo announced Dead or Alive 5 will be available on BOTH the PS3 and 360 in 2012. Here’s a look at the pre-alpha version of Dead or Alive 5 revealed during last week’s Tokyo Game Show: With Dead or Alive 5, Soul Calibur V, Street Fighter x Tekken, Virtua Fighter Final Showdown and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 arriving next year, 2012 is going to continue where 2011 left off in terms of excellent fighting games.

Just wanted to get a little feedback. Do you like having a poll each time we have a game night and the top 2 games that the main host has will get played in the night? How about other game hosts setting up their own games? By the way being a game host is pretty simple. Just invite people to your party and play. It’s best to hang out in the dedicated “PS3Blog.net Game Night” text chat on the XMB of the PS3. Makes it much easier than trying to send messages back and forth! Cheeto decided to become a game host a couple hours before I started mine. But I updated the post with that about a hour or so before so didn’t give people much notice but was worth a shot. I hung out in the PS3Blog.net PlayStation Home Clubhouse about 10-15 minutes early. Foobear408 showed up in his golden money suit which drips money. Pretty cool I must say. Then Kane112 show up and we showed off our brand new Mechjet powers. Foobear just had to try out the golden throne, which matched his golden suit perfectly. Foobear408, Uncydeka1 and myself played Killzone 3 for about 2 hours. Then we switched to Metal Gear Online for a hour or so. Kane112 & Uncydeka1 joined me for that. Kane112 did pretty well playing as Snake in the sneaking mission. Ceidz joined in on the text chat and mentioned he just got Uncharted 2 and was playing single player and loved it. He told us later he tried multiplayer and he wasn’t very good at it. So everyone gets 100 points for showing up to the game night. Uncydeka1 gets another 50 for being a diverse gamer.

[Update] Since I don’t have Resistance 3 or Call of Duty I’m going to host 2 games tonight: Killzone 3 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm MST UTC -7 Host: Cheeto (PSN: captain_cheeto) Killzone 3 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm MST UTC -7 Host: Tosh (PSN: xBerserker) I will host a Metal Gear Online session after Killzone 3 IF you send me a message around 7:30 pm MST with this as the PSN Message Subject: MGO Salute! Meaning your ready for some MGO action. If this doesn’t happen I’m also up for some Tekken 6, I’ll be a little rusty though. Metal Gear Online 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm MST UTC -7 Host: Tosh (PSN: xBerserker, MGO Name xBerserker) Mention “PS3Blog.net Game Night” in your PSN friend request message or I will not add you. If your up for being a host for another game let me know in the comment before the game night begins. Then I’ll update this post. See you tonight! Recap Despite Comic Con going on in San Diego right now, it’s been a relatively slow week. Pedro put up an editorial about innovation in gaming (and I put up a poll using that as a basis). Speaking of innovation (or lack thereof), a new Zombie game is in the works, this one by Grasshopper Manufacture. We had a few trailers this week. One for Starhawk (which was shown at Comic Con), as well as a Penguin trailer for Batman: Arkham City. We also got a sneak peak at some multiplayer with a new Battlefield 3 trailer as well. We also had a few reviews this week as well. Puzzle Dimension, inFamous 2, and Patapon 3. Be sure to read those and leave comments! With that out of the way, we still have a lot going on, so be sure to read the other tabs for details on giveaways and double points. I definitely suggest taking advantage of the latter to help you with the former. Community News & Game Nights Nothing new this week community wise. We do, however, have double points active through the rest of July! With a good number of giveaways coming up, now is a good time to stock up on points! And, as always, be sure to listen to our BlogCasts! You’ll get plenty of laughs! For our newest one, be sure to listen to episode 10 . The winner of the Alien Zombie Megadeath giveaway has been chosen (as well as the winners of the Red Johnson’s Chronicles giveaway, so congratulations to you guys! We also have our ongoing E3 Swag giveaway , as well as a chance for you to win a blu-ray of the Tekken movie. For major giveaways, we have also made it a lot easier for facebook users to enter them. New Poll Since there wasn’t any valid poll ideas for this week, I decided to come up with one of my own. And I don’t get points for my brilliant ideas . As usual, I like to base them off of something going on this week, so without further ado, this week’s poll is based off of Pedro’s article about innovation.
