You can now download and play DC Universe Online completely free from the PlayStation Store. There is no catch fellas, as SOE explained the 3 levels of access available for the game: – Free Access – Just like it sounds. Download and play the game for free. You also get all ongoing game updates (except DLC packs). – Premium Access – This next level of access opens up to you if you spend at least $5 in the in-game store. Premium Access grants you additional benefits that improve your experience in the game, such as more inventory slots, more character slots, bank slots and more free Vault tickets. So all you have to do is pick up some cool items in the store or buy a DLC pack and you unlock Premium Access. The best part? Once you unlock Premium Access you keep it for the life of your account. – Legendary Access – With Legendary Access you can unlock the maximum level of features and benefits. To unlock Legendary Access you can pay for a $14.99 per month game pass, or save big with a discounted multi-month pass. Lifetime members are automatically granted Legendary access. Legendary Access also includes all DLC packs at no extra charge. If you already purchased the game, no worries mate, as you will be automatically granted premium access . You can find more information on how to download DC Universe Online by visiting this link . Note that the game installation is very large (14GB+ as I am looking at it right now) and it could take several hours depending on your internet connection speed.

Winners Of The Bloodrayne: Betrayal Giveaway
Hey everyone, Baba Booey here with yet another review of one awesome game. So let me start off a tad bit different than usual. Let’s take a trip to the past, mid 1980′s. I know for some of you that may be reading this, you weren’t even a thought at that time, but for the rest of us, we can remember a time when platforming games where king. That’s all we played; the NES did platform games so well; Mega Man, Contra, and Castlevania to name a few. As the years went on, they became watered down and mundane without innovation, without soul or substance, and then the platform genre started to die as games became more advanced and we soon forgot about the genre that dominated the game scene…Until now!! Now I know what you are saying, “But Baba we have some great platformers already, what about Little Big Planet?” Well yes I can understand that, but understand games like Little Big Planet have large development budgets, the PSN Minis don’t count, and I have yet to play a decent PSN platformer title, but please take into account that this is my opinion. So enough of the blah blah, why don’t we get into why this game is so great. You play a young New York graffiti artist named Nox, who is just minding his own business one day when he tags over another artist’s tag. This artist does not appreciate this, and retaliates by taking Nox’s girl and sucks Nox into a flat, 2D world. The ‘bad guy’ in the game is named spray and his ultimate goal is to enter Nox’s 3D world with his minions and, without a doubt, cause some serious mayhem, and it’s your job to stop them with your array of paint powers and tagging skills to create platforms to help you get around. Being sucked into the paint world is what makes this game so unique and a real treat to play. When you think platformer, you think somewhat linear and one direction on one plane of movement, but in Sideway, this is done much, much differently. Your movement is limited to any walls you would normally paint on in a 3D world, but it’s not quite what you may think……you don’t play on one long wall jumping from windowsill, to windowsill. No not at all, you move around corners. Imagine it like this: you run along the ledge of a building then, when a corner comes, you wrap around the corner and continue along. On each new surface, the camera will rotate to make that your new plane of movement. The same also applies for the rooftops of buildings. It’s a wild and highly imaginative concept that really sold me on this game. You are supplied with a decent collection of moves to help you vanquish your enemies. These range from slides, to punches, and torpedo style drops from the air. It doesn’t take long to master these techniques, which is very nice, for games of these types you just want to be able to pick up the controller, play, and get into the game and enjoy it without worrying about mastering complicated movement combos. For a game of this size, there are a fair amount of levels to play and more than enough bosses and enemies to fight, but where this game really shines, it’s the amount of collectables there are to find, which is nice for trophy hunters and adds a decent degree of replayability to the game, which only compounds its value. Another great feature which I feel adds another positive element to the game is a CO-OP mode of the drop out, drop in type. Stuck on a boss? Call a buddy, once you’ve gotten your use of him..kick him out of the game and off the couch! The soundtrack is also something that really brought me into the game. Now, I’m almost 30, I can’t stand hip hop and I don’t quite get graffiti, not my cup of tea. but I definitely found myself enjoying the music and the art style this game represents; all in all it was very well done! In closing, I think this game is beyond a home run. I REALLY enjoyed playing this; its a genius take on a classic genre, and Play Brains has done a phenomenal job with Sideway: New York. Taking a tried tested and true game type that has mostly gone cold for most gamers and put a modern twist on the platformer genre that even the staunchest old-school gamer like myself could find himself/herself going back to again and again. At $9.99, a fair price to pay for so much imagination, so much soul and substance, and all the while reminding you of a much more tender time, this is a game that links young gamer me with old gamer me, a real treat! So go and buy this game, head over to the Play Brains facebook page and ‘Like’ them, show them some support! I think with time we could be seeing a lot more innovation from this developer. Review Pros Cons Inventive game play Unique and refreshing take on a classic genre Appealing artistic style and sharp graphics Lots of content for the price Great value Slightly short Controls can feel somewhat sluggish at times, but rare Rating 96% [Giveaway/Contest] Sideway New York Please like & follow Playbrains on Facebook & Twitter. It’s because of them we are having this giveaway! So show them some love. Follow @playbrains But I’m not done just yet! Play Brains has been kind enough to present us with a code for this great game to give away to you, our wonderful readers. But this will not be your run of the mill giveaway we usually have, this one is different. With this review we want to see some skill. To enter this contest for a chance to win, create a PS3Blog.net/Play Brains/SOE themed picture and submit it in the comments below. We will put all the entries to user votes, then we will take the top 3 user-chosen entries and we writers will choose our favorite and crown it the winner. You have until midnight on November 4th, 2011 to get your picture submitted in the comments below. So get creative folks, you don’t have to be a top notch artist to win, it’s all about being creative and having fun while you do it. I hope I have swayed you to go out and buy the game, its a great one. Until next time, Baba0Booey out!!
