Releases for the Week (November 14th-20th)

Halfway point has been reached and thus the retail releases start to pile up along with some digital stocking stuffers of Christmas past and present (sorry, nothing from Christmas future yet. Will get back to you on that one ASAP) that want to fight it out for our end of the year gaming budget. The new Assassin’s Creed brings us a nice bonus thanks to the huge amount of space available on Bluray discs: the original Assassin’s Creed is included, absolutely free! Dead Space 2 gave us a port of the excellent Wii entry of the franchise (Dead Space Extraction) and Bioshock Infinite will give us a free copy of the first Bioshock (which is great since I didn’t get the DLC challenge rooms last time and now I can finally get 100% of all trophies). What did you pre-order? How much are you willing to spend this week? Full list of releases after the break: PS3 RETAIL RELEASES You Can Buy Assassin’s Creed Revelations Right Here! WARP coming to PSN

Warp is a the story of Zero, a small alien trying to escape from a human testing facility. You will be equipped with a set of skills that will aid you through your journey. Don’t let the cute cuddly little alien picture shown below fool you, as Zero’s abilities and your choice of play can determine if your experience will be stealth based or simply gory! Through-out the game you will collect grubs, which you will use to purchase upgrades for Zero. Trapdoor has also included a rewarding in-game stats tracking system and global leaderboards for you perfectionists. Zero’s Skills – Warp: The game’s titular ability, warp is a short-distance teleport that lets Zero move through walls and into objects. Handy for ducking through walls and hiding inside objects, from barrels to human bodies. – Frag: Once inside an object, you can vigorously move the left stick to explode or “frag” your way out, often in a shower of blood and viscera. – Echo: Allows you to create a ghostly decoy of yourself or any object you’re currently warped into. Useful if you want to lure soldiers away from you, or just spook some scientists. – Swap: Acquiring swap allows you to place your echo over an object and instantly trade places with it. This power essentially gives you a much longer warping distance, and is a good way to move objects around. You can also swap objects inside of other objects. Here is a video to demonstrate Zero’s Echo and Swap abilities: The game is developed by Trapdoor and published by EA Partners for PSN. According to the official PlayStation blog Warp will be out this winter. For more information on Warp, visit the official website .

Releases for the Week (October 24th-30th)

I KNEW it couldn’t last for long! After week after week after week packed with retail and digital content we HAD to run into a week of lower profile releases at retail as publishers are (mistakenly) waiting for the 2nd week of november to unleash every single product they have left hoping to make you part with your holiday gaming money. Releases for the Week (October 17th-23rd)

Mmm, how long will publishers be able to keep up this schedule? Once January 2012 is with us I’m pretty sure we’ll be lucky to get 6 releases in all between retail and PSN as, for some reason, publishers are still stubborn and decide to release ALL their games between the last two weeks of october up to the holidays in an effort to get as many of them $$$ for their bank accounts. Funny how that works since last time I checked we actually buy games ALL YEAR LONG since we don’t do our gaming just during the november-february period, right? As for this week, we’ve got a total of 23 releases (yep, almost a full two dozen!) that are as follows: 9 at retail, 9 PSN, 4 minis and 1 PSOne Classic. Care to find out what is being considered for each of these categories so you can plan your gaming budget for it all? Then come on in! PS3 RETAIL RELEASES You can Buy Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One Right Here! You can Buy Everybody Dance Right Here! You can Buy Batman Arkham City Right Here! Or Maybe you want the Collector’s Edition! You can Buy Rocksmith Right Here! You can Buy The Sims 3: Pets Right Here! You can Buy National Geographic Challenge Right Here! PSN RELEASES PSOne CLASSICS RELEASES

Releases for the Week (October 10th-16th)

After all the releases from the last two weeks we all knew we’d eventually get to a point where the PSN Store could not keep up with the pace and we’d have to make due with just a couple of new games up for grabs on the digital side of the equation. At least things are looking healthy on the retail side with three new releases and a Game of the Year Edition for the critically acclaimed Red Dead Redemption. That will give all those holdouts a LOT of content for only $49.99! 70+ hours of content AND 90+ trophies for a low, low price will surely convince you to finally dive into the game. Full list of releases for this week after the break. What will get a chance to help you part with your hard earned cash this time around? Also, see how the term “PSOne Classic” can be twisted into any shape and size! PS3 RETAIL RELEASES You Can Buy Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Right Here! You Can Buy Dead Rising 2: Off The Record Right Here! You Can Buy Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny Right Here! PSN RELEASES

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Redemption Single Player Trailer

Here is a new single player, cinematic trailer, for what I’m betting will be the number one selling game of the year, and possibly of all time. Love it or hate it, COD: Modern Warfare 3 is going to be fun. It will be released on 11/8/11.
