Dynasty Warriors 7 ( Shin Sangokumusou 6 in Japan ) will release in March 2011 exclusively for the PS3 in Japan. Koei plans to include 3D and PlayStation Move support for the game which is being developed with the PS3 as the lead platform. Still set in ancient China, DW7 will take place in a different timelime than previous games and will introduce new playable characters who serve under the Jin Dynasty. At the London Expo Koei revealed DW7 will be released in Europe for the PS3 and 360 during Spring 2011. No North American release date as of yet. For more DW7 info click here .

Dynasty Warriors 7 To Support 3D, PlayStation Move
By the time Microsoft’s Kinect hits retail Sony’s PlayStation Move will have been available for a little over a month in NA and EU ( it’s releasing this week in Japan ). Including retail and PSN games patched to support the peripheral, Move launched with a total of 15 Move compatible games. Today Microsoft has announced it’s lineup of 17 games for Kinect’s release. How does it stack up against what’s currently available on Move? PlayStation Move Kinect Flight Control HD PSN Kinect Adventures Hustle Kings PSN Kinectimals Eyepet Move PSN Game Party: In Motion Pain PSN Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 Plant Minigolf PSN Your Shape Fitness Evolved Tumble PSN Dance Central High Velocity Bowling PSN The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout Kung Fu Rider Retail DanceMasters Racket Sports Retail EA Sports Active 2- PS3, 360 Start the Party Retail Zumba Fitness RUSE Retail Kinect Sports Resident Evil 5 (Gold Edition) Retail Motion Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2011 Retail Deca Sports Freedom Toy Story 3 Retail Kinect Joy Ride Sports Champions Retail Adrenalin Misfits Heavy Rain Retail Fighters Uncaged Sonic Free Riders Despite being criticized for a lack of games at launch, Sony’s PlayStation Move featured titles for everyone. From Eyepet Move to Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition ( via patch ), Move has games for both hardcore and casual gamers. Where as a majority of Kinect’s current lineup of titles range from sports games, fitness games and Harry Potter. Even Though Kinect has an impressive number of titles for it’s launch lineup, many of them are too similar. With a more diverse lineup of games available for the PlayStation Move I’d give Sony the early edge software wise against Microsoft’s Kinect.

Project Dark TGS 2010 Trailer
Wow, thanks everyone for the positive feedback on the US PS3 release calendar ! In addition to the US version, I added two more for other locales. Canada Version: UK Version: Amazon also supports France, Germany, and Japan, but the Amazon API doesn’t support Australia or any others. BTW, I would’ve also liked to add Amazon links and images (in the event details area) to the Google calendar, but AFAIK, Google’s calendar API doesn’t support that, so for now, it’s just title and date.

I told you guys about this game when it was announced in late August, and now, here’s a trailer for the upcoming title. Keep in mind, it’s both Move and DualShock compatible, but after watching this trailer, personally, I would find it hard to imagine playing it on anything but a Move. The game itself looks to play really smooth and the Move controls seem to work REALLY well and really fast. Something a game like this absolutely needs. And with that, the gameplay of this game type is absolutely addicting (trust me, I wasted a lot of time playing a simple flash game version). Anyone else going to be picking this one up? UPDATE : Here’s a big disappointment. The game will only be releasing in Europe, Asia (except Japan) and Australia next week. Japan gets it next month, and North America doesn’t get it at all. Prices are 4.99 Euros, 3.99 GBP, and 8.45 AUD.

Alright, first off, I’m sorry that I’m WAY behind on this! I keep adding work for myself to do on here, and a few things wound up getting left on the back burner (for instance, my Sam and Max review, in which I need to finish off reviewing the last three chapters, but I will try to get those as soon as I replay each of them again). Anyway, biggest release this week in the states is, for me anyway, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. HAWX 2 and RUSE are also released. A load of Move titles (hardware releases next week) have been released as well (though Amazon currently says they’re not). The former three will also be released in EU territories tomorrow, while AU only gets RUSE and HAWX 2. Nothing listed this week in Japan (well, so says the source anyway). New Game Releases for the Week of 09/05
Why did the chicken cross the road? To get into fisticuffs with the chihuahua! Tokyo Jungle, a new game announced by Sony for the PS3, is a follow up of Afrika. Unlike Afrika, this game takes place on the streets of an uninhabited Tokyo in the year 20XX. There are no humans in the game to play as. Instead you take control of 1 out of 80 different types of animials who have nothing else to do but duke it out in the desolate city. Tokyo Jungle will include a Story Mode and Survival Mode and will release in Japan sometime this Winter.

July was the first full month of sales for the new SKU.

Look at that fear on the face of that little girl. It’s so real, you can practically smell the awful stench of rotting human flesh on the zombies. I’d have to say, that headphones she’s got on has got me imagining “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” is playing in the background, as in John Woo’s Face/Off, while they’re fighting off the zombies. Yep, that’s the boxart for Dead Rising 2 in Japan, which will be arriving on their shores on September 30, 2010. North America, on the other hand, will get earlier by a couple of days on September 28th. Any one buying this game? I’m certainly showing interest. Via [ Examiner ]
