From now until July 12th Naughty Dog has added sixteen new skins to Uncharted 2. The sixteen skins represent the nations that successfully progressed to the second round of the World Cup. Those nations include Argentina, Brazil, Chile, England, Germany,Ghana, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Paraguay,Portugal,Slovakia,South Korea,Spain,United States & Uruguay. Apparently Drake and Flynn are the only soccer fans of Uncharted because those are the only two who can wear the temporary World Cup skins. If your favorite World Cup team is one of sixteen listed be sure to represent them online in Uncharted 2 before it’s too late. Source

In case anyone forgot there was a live action Tekken movie released in the theaters of Japan this past March. The film may not see a release outside of the country but you will be able to pick it up on Blu-ray when it becomes available in Japan this August and in the UK on September 1, 2010. There’s been no confirmation on a North American Blu-ray release. Blu-Ray box art .

Tekken Live Action Movie Coming To Blu-Ray
Pretty big week this week. First of all, the EU and Australia will be getting ModNation Racers this week, ahead of the US release next week. This week’s biggest title (universally, anyway) is, by far, Red Dead Redemption, and with overwhelmingly positive reviews across the board, it could wound up being this year’s Game of the Year. Of course, there are still 6 and a half months left before we know for sure, though. Split/Second (US and EU) and the new Prince of Persia title (US) also release this week. Other than that, Lost Planet 2 releases in Japan this week, and the US gets the release of Shrek Forever After, while the Eu gets a hold of the Nat Geo Quiz title. PSP sales have really dropped in the US, but are extremely strong, and even outselling the DS in Japan. In the US, and only in the US, 360 consoles continue to outsell PS3, despite PS3 having a better price/value ratio and a higher quality game library that sells higher volumes to a smaller user base. Interpretation : In the US, the Xbox 360 is selling on brand name, and not hardware quality, software library, or price/value ratio. By most metrics, PS3 has cumulatively surpassed the 360 in Japan and regions other than Japan and US. Only in the US does the 360 maintain a cumulative sales lead. (We don’t yet have complete Japan software sales for March. The data is available, but would require too much effort to compile. garaph.info is about a month out of date)

IGN is reporting that Namco Bandai will publish the highly acclaimed Demon’s Souls in Europe. There’s no mention of official dates or pricing but Namco Bandai are expected to make an announcement on the 16th April: Demon’s Souls looks to finally be making its way to Europe, courtesy of Namco Bandai who are likely to be publishing From Software’s astounding PlayStation 3 exclusive later this year. Originally released by Sony Computer Entertainment in Japan last February, Atlus picked up Demon’s Souls for an October release in October last year, with Namco Bandai set to become the third publisher when it launches in Europe. A uniquely punishing role-playing game, Demon’s Souls is widely regarded as one of 2009’s finest games, and its mix of classic dungeon crawler traits with innovative online features and structure have won it countless fans. Our in-depth review will help flesh out the details. There’s no word on a release date just yet, though Namco Bandai is set to make an official statement tomorrow. Fantastic news if you’re not into importing games such as myself. I just hope it gets an Australia release which it should as Australia is a PAL territory… Giddyup! Demon Souls coming to Europe

Demon’s Souls FINALLY Coming To Europe!
PS3 Releases There’s really only one release this week, and that’s the release of GTAIV: Episodes from Liberty City. If you’ve been reading comments on the Official blog, you would have seen the outright backlash that Rockstar Games have received. Without going deep into my opinion, I am ashamed of the lot of them for being so downright disrespectful and rude. It’s the same qualities that we look down at “XBots” for, so why stoop to their level PlayStation fans? Despite my opinion that the price may very well be a little high, given the content the games come with, it’s worth it. Keep in mind, though, if you download the episodes (as opposed to buying both in disc form), you need the disc from GTAIV to play it. Also released (in Japan) is the ported PS3 version of No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise. Also, no listed releases for PSP this week.
