RAGE Comic Issue #1 is Now in Stores

The RAGE comic issue #1 is now available in comic shops across North America and the UK. Based on id Software’s upcoming first-person shooter RAGE, the three-issue comic book series is an original miniseries written by Arvid Nelson, the acclaimed creator of Rex Mundi, and penciled by Andrea Mutti (DMZ). The cover art was created by Glenn Fabry, best known for his work on Hellblazer and Preacher, the comic’s variant cover was created by Stephan Martiniere, the art director on RAGE. Set prior to the events in the game, the comics are an extension of the RAGE universe and provide insights into the game’s storyline. This comic series, developed with the direct participation of RAGE’s creative director, Tim Willits, presents a new twist on the post-apocalyptic near future as one woman discovers that the survival of humankind doesn’t necessarily mean the survival of humanity. The Earth has been devastated by a collision with an asteroid, with a tiny fraction of the population surviving in life-sustaining Arks buried deep below its surface. Those who survive emerge to find a wasteland controlled by a global military dictatorship called the Authority. But a rescued scientist learns that the Authority has lied to her and the other survivors about how this new world came to be. Source: Press Release

Series one of the Killzone 3 action figures have been announced. The figures, standing at 6.5″ high, are very detailed and have many points of articulation. You should be able to pick them up at your local video game and/or toy retailer. Photos after the jump. On a side note, you can now score the Helgast edition for $99. I have seen it as low as $79 at Fry’s, but the new retail price is $29 cheaper. Source: PlayStation.Blog

New Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood DLC Inbound!

Seems like Ubisoft is bringing a new meaning to DLC. Tomorrow they are releasing an update to Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood titled “The Da Vinci Disappearance”. Damn that is a lot of “the’s” there. The update promises to be jam packed with goodness. First it’s going to contain 8 new single player missions, which can be accessed through the markers on your map of Rome, kind of like the Copernicus Conspiracy DLC for those of you who snagged it. The other part of the update is going into the multiplayer. It’s going to contain 4 new playable characters, 1 new map, and 2 new modes. If you hate reading, but love watching videos, go ahead and hit the jump!

Isaac Clarke Live Action Video | Dead Space 2

Here is a live action video of Issac back at the Visceral Office. If I worked there I’d probably do the same thing, lol. Dead Space 2 is out on 1/25/2011 in the US and 1/28/2011 in Europe. Check out these two other videos that they created as commercials for the game after the jump. I think they did a pretty cool job with these, but I can’t help but wonder how many of these mothers are going to run out and get the game for their kids??
