Battlefield 3 is outselling Modern Warfare 3 , which is “definitely a first”. This was confirmed by GameStop insiders to Hiphop Gamer. Apart from that, news also has it that the retailer apparently has a standing order to push Battlefield 3 towards customers more than Modern Warfare 3. Looks like EA really is working hard to get those promotions and marketing rolling hard on the tracks.

A 2 day event that will be held in Los Angeles in September. COD XP 2011 is like DisneyLand COD style. Plans are for two maps to be recreated in full scale so that a people who pay the $150 entrance fee can feel how its like to be in the game. 32 team bracket tournaments, food from Burger Town, a chance to play MW3 in advance.. these are just some of the things you can expect from this event. “We are constructing a full-scale replica of one of our multiplayer maps as a paintball stadium for fans,” Hirsherbg said. “We’re reconstructing the legendary level from Modern Warfare 2, The Pit, which fans can actually run.” More interested in what you’re going to be able to eat at an all-Call of Duty event? “You’ll be able to eat at Burger Town from Modern Warfare 2,” Say’s Hirshberg via an interview with Jostiq . Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 gets real. So real you can touch it!

Former Infinity Ward heads Jason West and Vince Zampella, best known for their work on the Call of Duty Franchise, have launched the website for their new formed company “Respawn Entertainment”. EA Games Label president “Frank Gibeau” talked to the press about Respawn’s first project, along with Insomniac Games (best known for Ratchet & Clank and Resistance series, to be a “sci-fi oriented” shooter. “It will allows us to compete with things like Gears and Halo”. Infinity Ward just finished a security meeting that entails the hacks displayed on the PS3 version of games for both hacked and non-hacked consoles. Here is what FourZeroTwo had to say: I just left a security meeting with the coders here at Infinity Ward where we discussed a lot of solutions. I feel good about the meeting, but of course I can’t go into detail on the possible solutions we discussed as we don’t want to give out any information that could potentially hinder the security any further. Once I have more information, I will post it here. The key factor I want you to know is, that while any update takes time, we are looking to make the process as quick as possible and nothing is being left unattended. Our main focus right now is on: 1) Preventing hackers from affecting legitimate players. 2) Addressing users who have already been affected. He also stated that some of the problems need to be reported to Sony as well, so if you see someone hacking their way to victory, be sure to report them to Sony using this link.
