Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of the podcast. This week we have a special guest from the site joining us, you might know him, a little fella that goes by the name of Isli. Tune in to catch Isli, FooBear, Tosh, and I discuss a few things in the news as well as some more Skyrim talk, and a few other stories about our gaming experiences. If you’d like to be a guest on the podcast feel free to join us! You also get points for being on the podcast, so don’t worry about missing out on the secret word you point fanatics! Just send me a message on the site and I’ll let you know when we start, and I’ll add you on Skype. Also a bit of warning for those of you who didn’t beat Heavy Rain, but we talk about it at the end of the podcast quite a bit. So if you want to stay away from spoilers, you can just stop the podcast there. I made sure to put the secret word before that. We also talk/spoil Uncharted 3 again, as well as a little bit of Mission Impossible:Ghost Protocol, but it’s all after I give you the spoiler warning for Heavy Rain. Enter the secret word(s) mentioned in the PS3BlogCast to earn 75 points. The first 10 people to enter it correctly get double points! Welcome back to another week with the podcast. This one is light on the news, with FooBear and yours truly. We don’t get into a whole lot, beside the basics of new releases and a few bits on the Japanese Vita launch. For those of you who don’t feel like taking a trip to Spoilerville, FooBear and I talk about the ending to Assassin’s Creed Revelations. We do the code giveaway and the secret word before hand, but if you want to skip over it stop the podcast at 51:30 and you can pick it back up at about 1:02:43. We also won’t be having a podcast next week, so we’ll see you all next year! At least…in the podcast. Stay active on the site! Enter the secret word(s) mentioned in the PS3BlogCast to earn 75 points. While Xbox 360 users got their hands on the Beta about two months ago it is now our time now to experience the Elite-nesses of this beta. Activision Stated that “Beta testers can take their current Call of Duty multiplayer experience to the next level by jumping into the Beta version of the Call of Duty Elite service, as beta access will start to be activated in stages, with limited invitations rolling out effective today,” explains Activision’s press release Most of the Beta features are free but if you’re a die hard Call of Duty fan Activision would be more than happy to sell you the premium subscription already for a full year… which goes for just $50. Premium members get exclusive Clan benefits and all of the MW3 DLC (such as Map Packs) as well as 20 pieces of new in game content. The Beta has just started on Monday and is very limited but if you’re interested in joining the ranks of Call of Duty’s beta testers, you can sign up at www.callofduty.com/elite Good luck getting in!

A story about a boy, a fairy doll and the boy’s quest to revive his recently deceased mother. From the minds of Level-5 and studio Ghibli , comes this role-playing magical adventure. Ni No Kuni (or The Another World) was first announced in the Japanese publication Famitsu in September 2008 for the Nintendo DS. Later in 2010, it was revealed that the game was in development for the PlayStation 3 and a world premier trailer of “Ninokuni: Shiroki Seihai no Joou” (Queen of the White Ashes) was shown in TGS 2010. Many English-speaking players were wondering if this will be another Japanese import, but wonder no more … Level-5 president Akihiro Hino confirmed that an English version of the game is in production for an early 2012 release in North America, exclusively for PlayStation 3. I leave you with some gameplay footage from TGS 2011 … Here is a second Gameplay video to demonstrate the game’s “Final Fantasy/Pokemon” battles!

I am a LittleBitLate with this news, but LittleBigPlanet 2 is now $39.99 “at participating retailers”, so if you haven’t picked it up because of the price, now might be a good time to do so. Also, earlier in the week, there was a new update available for LBP2. One that allows you to play the game using the Move controller. To go along with that, Media Molecule will also have the Move Pack DLC available next week, a video showcasing that can be viewed up top. From the looks of things, it adds quite a bit more to the already great gameplay the game provides! Here’s some information about the Move Pack (from littlebigplanet.com ): Featuring a brand new story mode; Rise of the Cakeling, a new power-up for Sackboy called the Brain Crane, and a suite of creative tools to help you build your own Move games, paint your own stickers and record movements, the Move Pack is our biggest DLC add-on pack to date! No pricing details available just yet, though. Source

During Gamescom 2011, Sony announced a new regular PSP exclusivly for the European consumers. The PSP E-1000 with a fingerprint free surface (matte!) will do what every other PSP does, but it just won’t have build in Wi-Fi. You will still have access to the full catalog of PSP games on UMD or the PlayStation Store via Media Go. The re-designed PSP E-1000 is lighter, moved a few hardware features around and no longer has below screen buttons, instead there is a single touch strip on the bottom. This new model will price at €99.99 and will be accompanied by a new range of PSP titles that will retail at €9.99 each.

It’s that time again, when we all gather round and listen to the podcast. Ok, so maybe that’s not how it’s actually done, but I can dream it can’t I?! Tune in to catch Ace, FooBear, and I discuss all the news that has come out of Gamescom this week, as well as a few other things! SPECIAL NOTE: For those of you who haven’t yet beaten L.A. Noire, there is a spoiler spot in the podcast between the 58:00 and 59:20 mark. So just skip that small section when you get to it if you don’t want to hear any spoilers. You’ll hear it coming as well, so I give you plenty of time incase you forget. As always, we want to remind you that the PS3BlogCast is listed on iTunes! So please subscribe and rate/review us there. PS3BlogCast Episode 14
Recap Been busy again, but I have been around doing stuff for the Community. With that said, this was one of the busiest periods for us as far as giveaways goes, as you will see in the Community News tab. Currently, we have two giveaways happening with another one starting tomorrow. You can quickly access them by clicking on contest banners between post and at the top of articles. We’ve had a number of reviews for you to check out as well, with a few of them happening in conjunction with a giveaway. Thanks goes out to all those PR people for providing us with content! It is much appreciated! I guess Oly gets some credit, too, but we all know people will only associate with Oly because it gets them closer to me . I kid. With that said, EdEN and Cheeto need to settle down with the posting. Especially EdEN and his tyrannical posts about how a 3DS price drop is throwing the gauntlet against the Vita, and how it’s a better system than the Vita, blah blah blah. I don’t know how he got a staff position. Heck, he still hasn’t changed his name to his first name to continue on with site tradition . At least Eddie has been putting him in his place. Too bad EdEN doesn’t stay there for even 5 minutes before he starts again. Anyway, be sure to check out the rest! Quite a few articles to go through in case you missed anything! Community News & Game Nights It’s been a really busy past three weeks. One of the biggest things is definitely the giveaways, which you can read about in the section below. As far as Community news itself goes, Tosh has unveiled the new and improved giveaway/lottery system. It not only makes it easier for us to track entries, but also makes it easier for you to enter the contest as well. Yesterday, Tosh also gave me more permissions for running the forums, so I took the liberty of beginning the process of improving the forums . For the most part, the forums are now categorized satisfactorily, but we’re still in the process of moving old topics to their new locations. And, as always, we had our BlogCasts. Now available are Episode 11 , Episode 12 , and Episode 13 . Enjoy! Oh, and I almost forgot, EdEN has joined our team . Congratulations! Alright, giveaways! First of all, we had a winner for the Tekken blu-ray. The day before the winner of that was announced, we started a giveaway for PSN imports for Yakiniku Bugyou and Rapid Angel, where, later, everyone who entered had won. In fact, you can ask Oly if there are any extra codes left since the number of entries was less than the number of available codes… Anyway, Eddie did a short giveaway for a Resistance 3 beta code, here you can see who won here . We still had a couple other PSN giveaways, including Fast Draw Showdown and LIMBO . Winners can be seen here and here respectively. Of course, it didn’t end there. Currently, we have 2 more giveaways going on, including the PSN title Dead Block and a piece of hardware that makes a wired connection through your house’s electrical circuit, the HP200AV . We’re still not done yet, though. In fact, we had to make a couple more “lottery” accounts to allow for more giveaways, with the third account being used for a giveaway you will see go live tomorrow , so stick around! There is a lot of free stuff you can win! Also, Tosh’s E3 swag giveaway has ended, but items will be shipped soon! The ‘Kind of’ Weekly Recap (July 24th-August 13th)
The wait is almost over, battlefield junkies. In just 9 days time, DICE plans to show off the very first footage of Battlefield 3′s conquest mode, and jets will finally be making their long awaited appearance. DICE General Manager KM Troedsson (Karl Magnus Troedsson) confirmed the news via Twitter: Troedsson pretty much sealed the deal with his fancy emotioicon. GamesCom just became my new best friend, hopefully we get a bunch of new Battlefield 3 footage, and maybe even a narrower date for the beta. Until battlefield 3 releases, remember to keep practicing and whatever you do, don’t do this .
