Yesterday G4TV announced that the blu-ray version of the sci-fi flick Battle: Los Angeles will come with a 30 minute demo of Resistance 3. The R3 demo takes place during the much talked about boat scene in which Joe Capelli and company are travelling through the Mississippi river when they are ambushed by Chimera forces. This offer is only for North American copies of Battle: Los Angeles, which arrive on blu-ray ( and DVD ) on June 14th. Insomniac noted on Twitter that they plan to reveal details on how those outside of NA can gain access to the SP demo soon.

Bethesda Softworks just released a behind the scene video of Hunted: Demon’s Forge, entitled, “Descent Into Mystery”. In the video, “Lucy Lawless and the team at inXile Entertainment delve into Hunted’s storyline and its characters.” This game is really looking good. The co-op feature sounds really interesting, and I can’t wait to try it out. Hunted is slated for release in North America on May 31, 2011 and Europe on June 3, 2011.

Rockstar just released this Pop-Up Edition of their most recent trailer. It gives further information on the game, based partially on true events. L.A. Noire will be released for the PlayStation 3 on May 17th in North America and May 20th in Europe. Here’s some more info to along with this trailer. You may have read about the Vice desk case, “The Set Up” – in which Phelps and his partner Roy Earle investigate the disappearance of a boxer following a fixed fight that’s left a few crooked gamblers and mob types a bit miffed. Fixed boxing match scandals were a current affair back in ’47 – most famously with this incident, in which both Frank Sinatra and ‘Raging Bull’ Jake Lamotta were alleged to be mixed up with a mob scheme. Syrettes are found at the scene when Phelps and Earle investigate the apparent overdose of two junkie musicians in a squalid apartment. Syrettes were notably used for administering morphine to wounded soldiers during World War II, and in the post-war years many veterans tragically wound up addicted consumers of black-market dope to fill their fix. The 1940s saw rampant accusations of LAPD corruption – something that was blown wide open by ex-LAPD Vice Squad officer Sgt. Charles Stoker’s expose Thicker’n Thieves, published in 1951. A press release from Bethesda Softworks, and Del Rey Books, just announced that a book based on the forthcoming game Rage is in the works. Rage is the next game from id, the creators of Doom, Quake, and Wolfenstein. Rage won many awards at E3 2010, and looks to be a cross between Fallout and Borderlands. It is definitely a game I will be checking out a lot closer. The novel, also titled Rage, will be released in North America on August 30, 2011. A plot for the novel can be read after the jump. The novel delves even deeper into this world and its characters through the pen of Matt Costello–the same person who helped write the story for the game. The world was doomed and only some of the population could be saved. That was what the scientists were saying, at least. So the best and brightest were gathered and put into stasis deep beneath the surface of the Earth–buried so that man could live. – When Lt. Nick Raine emerges from his Ark, he finds the human race has not been wiped out. And people, as resilient as they are, are scraping together a new world from the rubble of the old. This was not what anyone in the Arks expected–a new society where might is right, mutants plague the Earth, and “friend” is a term for the person who hasn’t stabbed you in the back. The video shows some amazing gameplay, but mostly gives us a behind-the-scenes look at voice-acting for possibly the biggest game in 2011. The Uncharted 3 crew recently showed off this video at PAX East the quality isn’t the best in the world due to lighting being so poor, but you can still get a good glimpse of the humor Nolan North and Richard McGonagle are sharing together. This might be the closest we can get to Uncharted 3 before it hits this fall. Nathan’s latest adventure won’t be coming out till November 1st in North America, and November 4th in the UK.

Welcome to PS3Blog.net’s exclusive two part article featuring a review for “Paper Wars: Cannon Fodder” for the PSP and PS3 which is a new addition to growing list of Playstation minis. Review Playstation minis have been slowly growing into its own over the past year or so with several games being released but all have been pretty easy to overlook until now. Paper Wars: Cannon Fodder prides itself with being the “worst game ever made” by iFun4all who also prides their self with being the worst development team of all time. They even stated that the North American version of this game was delayed due to them getting drunk all of the time and losing electricity in their tiny Hungarian village. A sort of stationary tower and defense game based on child like coloring paper, you take control of a tank turret to blast away at soldiers moving at vastly different speeds while picking up power ups to help you kill more hand drawn drunkenly scribbled soldiers. Obtaining power ups as you kill off these soldiers hell bent on crossing the road is essential on many levels. You can get a slow motion power up, triple tank shot, bring the rain with a 6 missile volley, set up a single or triple triggered land mine or cause an earthquake to shake up the lines. The whole point of the game is to not allow any soldiers to pass from the right side of the screen, all the way to the left side of the screen. Shooting your shell takes some charging up time and the distance the shell travels also takes a little while so there is a lot of judging time and distance when blowing up the troops. You want to be sure to meet each challenges goal of killing so many soldiers while not allowing a certain number to sneak by. There are three campaigns and an additional game mode that you can choose from. The regular campaign, Winter Assault and Cyber Wars are the different campaigns while Survival mode is the additional feature mode at the title screen. Survival mode is just an endless assault of paper soldiers to see how long you could last before allowing 50 soldiers to pass from one side of the screen to the other. This game is fun with no doubt and looks equally impressive (well as impressive as cut up pieces of paper with scribbled coloring and almost brain hurting purposely misspelled words can be) on both the PSP and the big screen. There are achievements and/or medals that you can go back to earn with each level that you complete and can even go back to try to obtain better results. After spending hours with this game and laughing at the silly sound effects and crazy blood coming from paper soldiers, I can easily say, much to iFun4all’s chagrin, that this is the one of the best additions to Playstation minis.
