Some people have requested gameplay footage of Fast Draw Showdown so over the weekend I had my wife play and recorded the action for the first round of the game. As you can see it’s a pretty corny game, but I think that makes it fun. The live action is a lot funner than some CGI characters honestly.

One of the best Wii games ever is now getting a port over to the PS3 as a retail product with two extra levels, HD visuals, trophies, Move and 3D support and aaaaaaaaaall of the awesome dialogue, feeling and atmosphere that made this a must buy for all Nintendo owners. How soon can Sony console supporters get their hands on this very fun game? October. October 25 to be exact. Here’s the list of all new and exclusive PS3 features for Overkill: * PlayStation Move and Sharp Shooter compatible * OVERKILL fully remastered – available in high definition, with stereoscopic 3D for the first time ever * Extended with 2 additional levels not featured in the original game (MORE levels? Pre-ordering right now!) * Exclusive crossbow weapon * New baby mutant type (ooooooooh, baby mutant? Niiiiice!) * New Hardcore Mode – mutants can only be killed with headshots (so, just like regular zombies then?) * New Classic Mode – play through the entire game using only the AMS Magnum * Exclusive Missing Reel – an extended boss fight with “Mother” in “OVERKILL”, the game’s final level * Online leaderboards to track high scores and player statistics * Collectibles to grab throughout all levels to unlock bonus materials; comic pages, music tracks, 3D models and 2D artwork (can we have a CE with physical copies of the bonus material? I kinda missed on the comicbook of the Wii version so I’d gladly give you guys $10 extra for that and a soundtrack CD added to the PS3 version) * New PlayStation Trophies to unlock (EdEN approves!) * Improved boss fights in all levels * New and improved cutscenes using motion capture * And more still to come! You will soon be able to enjoy all the fun provided by levels like this: And this: Show your support for awesome “lightgun” games by pre-ordering your copy of House of the Dead: Overkill (Extended Cut) today!

Back when the Move came out, you could buy it bundled with a little piece of software called Sports Champions, which really helped showcase the accuracy of the Move. Well, Zindagi Games and San Diego Studio, the team behind the Move launch title, have announced another Move game, called Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest, at Sony’s conference last night. According to Sony, the game’s story revolves around an evil sorcerer, Morgrimm, that invaded Prince Edmund’s Castle to take over the kingdom with an army of undead skeletons. The hero, Prince Edmund, has also been transformed into a skeleton, but he is on a quest to stop the invasion and Morgrimm to get his kingdom back. From what Oly mentioned in the Live Blog last night it seems to be an on-rails game, but the way you use different weapons is what really stood out. To help have more of a fun interface, rather than having to go through menus or an inventory system to select different weapons, most of the game is controlled by using certain gestures and simple button presses. Swinging the Move allows you to swing your sword, of course. You hold the Move button to enable your shield. Reach behind you to grab an arrow to shoot distant enemies. And, of course, the coolest weapon: throwing stars. Throw them with the flick of a wrist while holding the T button and letting it go, like a Frisbee. Given the cutesy art direction and the simplicity of the controls, it seems like a title more aimed toward a younger audience, but at least it doesn’t give the impression of a cheap game. Considering the accuracy of Sports Champions, this game should, at least, play well. As of this posting, no release date has been announced beyond this Fall. Source

Two new commercials are going to be hitting the streets to promote the PlayStation Move sharp shooter in some good old Killzone 3 action. As always the commercials have a good amount of humor in them and damn does Killzone 3 look good!
If you were anything like me, when portal hit the PS3 with Team Fortress 2, and the Half Life collection packaged in a perfect match up called the Orange Box, you went out and got it right away and first thing you did was tear into Portal with a fervor like a hungry man tears into a steak. After completing Portal I felt incomplete….alone, well no more, we learned last year at E3 that we would be getting a juicy sequel to the critically acclaimed title from Valve software. With Portal 2 set to launch in April of this year loaded with features, today we learn about another juicy feature to the most anticipated game of 2011, Deploying surprise in…3…2…1…Move support! Yes that’s right, Portal 2 will feature “full move support” according to Valve. Valve’s own Chet Faliszek spoke of the feature VIA the German PlayStation blog and claimed it was “compensation for PS3 users not getting a Left 4 Dead release” (I think Valve is starting to see the light and are regretting not giving the PS3 the attention it deserves) Other goodies that came with this update include PS3-Exclusive cloud saves, and a free code for a PC version of portal 2, also PS3 players will enjoy cross platform gaming with PC players through Steam, it just keeps getting better and better, April can’t come soon enough!!
