We’ve already gotten ports of Dead Space Extraction and House of the Dead: Overkill… so now it’s time to bring two more on rails shooters to PS3! CAPCOM has just announced that ports of both Resident Evil Chronicles games will be given HD ports with Move support (well… duh!) for release at an unspecified date. I already own ALL of the games mentioned in this post but for those of you that have yet to try any of these fine, fine games… what do you think about all the Wii to PS3 ports lately?

Ubisoft has announced that “I Am Alive”, a post-apocalyptic action/adventure game, is coming to the PSN this winter. The trailer looks very promising, especially for a PSN release, and I can’t wait to see more. Developed by Ubisoft Shanghai, I Am Alive was engineered to create a convincing, post-disaster world in which players are faced with thought-provoking choices. I Am Alive follows an everyman’s journey to find his wife and daughter, who were lost during the “Event.” A year later, he finds Haventon, his hometown, in shambles. Buildings are destroyed, toxic ash fills the streets, and society has been torn, causing inhabitants to take all necessary actions to survive. “We know people have been waiting for this game to arrive, and we believe it’s going to be worth the wait,” said Adam Novickas, Director of Marketing at Ubisoft. “I Am Alive presents a unique take on the post-apocalyptic, survival genre by creating more complex and emotional situations for the player. Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network are the perfect platforms to leverage the mature and challenging experiences of the game.” In I Am Alive, players will be challenged by both their environment and their enemies. I Am Alive by Ubisoft is Coming to the PSN

EXOR Studios announced today, that a new and greatly enhanced version of the game called Zombie Driver HD is coming to the PSN. The game has been vastly expanded, improved and super polished for the console audience. Zombie Driver HD features a more varied narrative campaign that is twice as long as the original PC version, adding epic boss fights, demolition missions, new enemies and special vehicles such as a fire truck, bulldozer and even a tank, as well as many more gameplay enhancements… The gameplay mechanics have received a new round of polish by introducing an improved camera system, a recharging afterburner that will help you get out of tough spots and a minimap that will guide you through a labyrinth of zombie filled streets. Besides the expanded story mode Zombie Driver HD features game modes well know from its PC predecessor such as the Blood Race and Slaughter mode. Blood Race mode is full of insane cars, guns, explosions and obviously… racing… in three distinct game types that will satisfy all reckless driving fans. Of course a real zombie game couldn’t go out without some arena survival action and that’s where the Slaughter mode comes in by putting the player in a desperate fight against endless zombie waves on specially crafted arenas. Watch the sixth and final RAGE gameplay video — ‘Jackal Canyon: Recover the Decrypter’. Enter your date of birth to access this video. In this video, the Resistance has heard rumors of an Ark surfacing in Jackal Valley, and they need you to search the site for a valuable data decrypter. Finding it won’t be easy as the valley is home to one of the Wastelands most brutal factions, the savage Jackal Clan. RAGE releases next week in North America on Tuesday, October 4th (October 7th in Europe).

It was a pain to initially set-up but it’s now live and working. It’s already been used for the Resistance 3 giveaway . It’s a very neat application I’m and excited for it to be used more in the future! We can use it in several ways. One example is for getting videos live from you during gaming events, midnight launches, etc. Another possible use is submitting your game night videos! But mainly we will use it for entering giveaways. Here is how it works: On post or pages you will see the logo displayed left here. Click it and log into YouTube. You will be asked to “Authorize Access to Your Account”. The domain ps3blog-net.appspot.com is what handles all the video submissions. So it’s ok to allow it. Then you will have a choice to upload a new video or submit an existing video you already uploaded. Be sure to select todays date for the video and location with city and state. After you submit your video we will get a email saying there is a video to approve. If we approve your video it will automatically get added to the video playlist for that giveaway and posted on our YouTube Channel . Right now you won’t get a email when it’s approved. I may enable that later. So check back later to see if your video got added. The video itself will have a link back to the post or page. Once we have at least 1 video added to the playlist I can embed it into the giveaway post. Then all future videos will be added as they come in. I’m working on a way to manually add your YouTube Video lottery entries right into the lottery logs. But that’s still a work in progress. Have ideas on what else we could use this for shout it out in the comments.
