Great news just came from Bethesda stating that Prey 2 has not been cancelled, but just delayed due to lack of progression and quality standards. Hooray for Bethesda not just publishing a sub-par game. This game showed great promise, and I really liked what I saw at E3. I don’t mind waiting another year for what is sure to be a better game. Read the official announcement after the jump: Development of Prey 2 has not been cancelled but the game will not be released in 2012 as planned. The delay is due to the fact that game development has not progressed satisfactorily this past year, and the game does not currently meet our quality standards. Prey 2 has shown great promise and we regret disappointing our fans. We have made a substantial investment in game development to deliver the experience fans want. We are determined only to release the AAA game that fans rightfully expect, and are unwilling to compromise our quality standards to meet a release schedule. Source: Press Release

EA and Bioware have announced two free DLC projects for Mass Effect 3. The first, slated for release on April 10, 2012, is the Resurgence Pack. It is free DLC for ME3′s coop multiplayer mode. The expansion will include two new maps (hooray!) as well as new weapons, items, and playable races. The second is Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut, which will include longer, expanded epilogical cinematics. Note that the existing endings won’t be changed, nor will one be provided with additional choices to inform different endings. Instead, “the goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3.” Expect this free DLC sometime in the summer of 2012. Some minor tweaks and a couple new options are about to be released to Vita owners in the next update which will be “released soon”. -Notification Alerts can be turned off -”After 10 minutes” to the power save settings added -LiveArea will be updated with a new arrow icon that will point out new acitivites. -Caps Lock added to the keyboard. I know many people will be happy about the notifications option being added as the trophies and other alerts can take up a large portion of the screen…but I still love to see them myself. Update! Just a heads up. The update was released today 4/3/12, however it caused a problem with Adhoc modes and people on Vita could no longer play Monster Hunter vs PSP gamers, etc. So the update has been pulled for now. Hopefully it comes back up today.
