Has it been a week already? I guess it has. Well here we are with another podcast, featuring special guest Pedro along with a second appearance by Isli, as well as FooBear, Tosh, and I. We had a bit of technical issues throughout the session, and let me tell you when it rains it pours. Man was there some editing needed! I’ve spent more time editing this than when I used to do the censoring, I haven’t even had time to game tonight! It’s nuts, but worth it despite not a whole lot of news this week. Don’t mind a few minutes in when suddenly my audio sounds weird, I had to change mics since mine was acting up for no reason. There are a few moments near the end with some quality issues that unfortunately I couldn’t fix, as I was on the receiving end of the transmission, but overall the international call went well! The Truth Behind Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Kojima-san along with members from KOJIMA Production and Platinum Games explain in this video the truth behind their collaboration and how Metal Gear Rising was reinvented. Platinum Games producer, Atsushi Inaba , addressed the Metal Gear fans in a series of messages via twitter : It seems there are some who wish to imply PlatinumGames was able to achieve what Kojima Productions could not – interviewers among them. This notion is spurious. Clearly, we have not yet produced any results in the world of Metal Gear. The artists at Kojima Productions gave their blood, sweat and tears to bring the Metal Gear Saga to life. The gap is immense. Mr. Kojima tossed his chips on our table, believing we could handle the task. In other words, he took a gamble. Many seem to think the change from MGSR to MGR altered everything about the game, but this is simply not true. MGSR’s concept excited us. We have love and respect for it, as we do the character of Raiden and the idea of freely cutting anything apart. I know reaction to the new trailer is mixed. Yet I also believe our love and respect shines through. It is my hope that you catch a glimpse of the future in the footage. In order to achieve that evolution, that future, we at PlatinumGames will continue to fight, shedding our own blood, sweat and tears. With that said, allow me to clarify something for the outraged fans. This is not a new direction for the Metal Gear series, nor another disappointing failed project picked up by a slightly known publisher, as you might think. It is simply Platinum Games doing what they do best; fast-based action games with a driven story and insane cut-scenes that makes your fingers bleed in sweet agony! So cut them some slacks, will ya?

After much searching and testing we have found a winner! When you post images or videos with this new chat, you can view them right in the chatroom. Pretty cool stuff. You can easily have private chats with other members too. This is available only to members of PS3Blog.net so be sure to register, so you can join in on the fun we have in the chatroom. When you go to the chatroom page, it will pre-fill your nickname with your display name from PS3Blog.net which is handy. Captcha is GONE, thank goodness! All you have to do is pick your nickname and connect. We sometimes do giveaways or post the bonus url link for getting a extra entry into giveaways in the chatroom. This works well on mobile devices too. So far we have tested Palm Pre, Android & iPad and all work great!
