Another week, another time with not many releases for our Sony Console and Portables. The PS3 gets one retail release that packages two games in a single disc, the PSN gets 2 formerly retail only games available as digital releases… and the circle of life carries on. Vita gets the most releases this week with Disgaea 3 (both at retail and on PSN), and Star Drone Extreme, a Vita version of the PSN game I reviewed here , and that has been improved thanks to feedback from gamers, as well as having new levels you can enjoy on your shinny new portable! Full list of releases, after you click! PS3 Retail Releases You Can Buy Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat Right Here! VITA Releases You Can Buy Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention Right Here! If you have planned a visit to Tokyo, we have bad news for you: a zombie invasion starts this week! Taking place in the well-known Kamurocho district, Dead Souls sees the return of the charismatic Yakuza hero Kazuma Kiryu, accompanied on his adventures by three other playable characters: Shun Akiyama, Ryuji Goda and Goro Majima. In Dead Souls, not only will Kazuma have to go deep into the underworld to rescue his kidnapped step-daughter, but now he will also have to face an army of zombies laying waste to his beloved Tokyo streets! The last Transformers was ok. Honestly I think it needs a reboot with a new director. It needs to focus on the transformers themselves not around a this guy that whines all the time. I heard Drive was a good movie, I’ll have to rent that later. As I was browsing through the releases I noticed another of those bad shark horror movies. This time the shark has 2 heads! Pretty scary stuff I must say. Anything interest you this week? Highlights for this week: Drive, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Transformers Limited Edition Collector’s Trilogy, Star Trek: The Next Generation – Next Level, In Time, The Thing (2011), To Kill a Mockingbird 50th Anniversary Edition, Shakespeare in Love, The Double, Dream House, Cold Mountain, The English Patient, The Piano, Adaptation, Into The Universe With Stephen Hawking, 2 Headed Shark Attack.

I actually went to the dollar movies with my wife to see Midnight in Paris over the weekend. It was a good movie, but not one that I would own personally. Futurama has returned to television again with Season 6. I liked the original series, but have yet to watch the new season. Is it any good? So, anything interest you this week? Highlights for this week: Midnight in Paris, Warrior, Dolphin Tale, Glee: The Concert Movie, Colombiana, Time Machine 2011: Live in Cleveland, Futurama 6, Margin Call, Straw Dogs, Underworld Trilogy (Underworld / Underworld: Evolution / Underworld: Rise of the Lycans), Heaven’s Lost Property: Complete Series.

I was really excited when I heard about Rise of the Planet of the Apes. It did not disappoint either! I really enjoyed the movie, it was very well done. I just wish it lasted another 20-30 minutes after the movie ended. Another Ip man movie is out. I liked the first 2, so I’ll be waiting for this to come to Netflix eventually. It’s always good to see that another Buster Keaton remastered so it’s not lost to the ages. Anything interest you this week? Highlights for this week: Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Legend Is Born: Ip Man, The Rocketeer: 20th Anniversary Edition, Seven Chances: Ultimate Edition, Kung Fu Panda 2 / Secrets of the Masters, Fright Night, Transformers Trilogy, Meet Me in St. Louis, Godzilla Vs Megalon.

Blu-ray Releases For The Week Of 12.12.11
Slightly earlier this week, since I remembered this time. Anyway, remember, for the month of December, it’s double points and double entries for Free Points Saturday! That means 20 entries with 300 points each. As always, if it takes too long to get people to answer, I will provide clues. And the final clue will be the answer itself. If there are still spots left after about an hour of posting the answer, I will just have to take some of the points myself . So, without further ado, here’s this week’s question: This title solely released on the PlayStation, but other games in the series have been seen on numerous platforms before and after this release. In this particular addition, throughout some of the ‘hub’ levels, which took place between themed levels (in different periods of time), are three hidden crystal keys used to transport the main character to the aforementioned themed levels. What is the name of this game? Hint: Don’t use any punctuation, just letters and/or numbers. The following 8 members got points for anwering correctly. I am a little late this week and about a week late from last week, and seeing as this is now the Holiday season, I will make every week a double points/chances week, except for today’s, which will be triple points and triple chances! I was going to have something different this week, using a browser game we have hidden on the site (just look for the Don’t Click Me link on the bottom), but it wasn’t going to work as planned. With that out of the way, there are 30 chances to win today (so this might be live for a couple days), with a total of 450 points each! This means we’re giving away a total of 13,500 points today! Enjoy! It should be a pretty easy one. This title received it’s first (official) English translation for the North American PlayStation release, but the first title in the series released on PC in 1992 (with numerous additions since). The game essentially allowed you to create a game within a certain genre, with the ability to create scripted events, dialogue editing, and map creation. It also sold for a higher MSRP than most other games available at the time.
